Contents.Plot This movie starts with Anbuselvan getting thrown out of a house and falling into a stream of water. He is badly injured and lying on the bank of a stream, thinking about his wife Maya and how he needs to rescue her.
.kakka- also kaka-, Proto-Indo-European root meaning 'to defecate.' According to Watkins, 'imitative of glottal closure during defecation.' It forms all or part of: caca; cachexia; caco-; cacoethes; cacophony; cucking stool; kakistocracy; poppycock. It is the hypothetical source of/evidence for its existence is provided by: Greek kakke 'human excrement,' Latin cacare, Irish caccaim, Serbo.
The story moves quickly from this opening scene to a flashback of Anbuselvan's time as a young policeman.Anbuselvan was an honest, daring officer with the police as the in the Crime Branch. As he has no relations in life, he lived with no fear. Anbuselvan and his friends Shrikanth , Arul (Vivek Anand), and Ilamaran (Rajan) have been recruited for part of a special unit of police officers who are battling in Chennai. Violent and laconic, Anbuselvan finds little patience for a personal life. The unit is ruthless in its confrontation with criminals, going as far as assassinating gang members; the unit is finally disbanded by human rights authorities; Anbuselvan is posted to Control Room Duties. One day a school teacher named Maya rebuffs Anbuselvan's routine questions regarding safety, not knowing that he is a police officer. He meets her again when she and her friend are questioned for driving without a license.
However, Anbuselvan lets them off with a warning. When one of Maya's students has a problem with local kids, she asks Anbuselvan for help. Anbuselvan resolves this problem, a mutual respect grows between them, and they begin seeing one another. When Maya gets into a road accident, Anbuselvan helps her recover, and they fall in love. Shrikanth and his wife Swathi become good friends with Maya.In response to rising levels of crime in the city, when the son of an influential movie producer is kidnapped and killed, the special unit is reassembled by commissioner with all four back in the crime branch.
The unit tracks down and kills the head of the gang that was responsible. The brother of the gang leader, Pandiya , returns from and takes over the gang, promising revenge over his brother's death. Pandiya and his gang members target the families of the men in the special unit, but the police close in, and a badly injured Pandiya barely escapes Anbuselvan.Maya and Anbuselvan get married and leave for, but the next day, Pandiya and his thugs enter the cottage that the honeymoon couple are staying in and attack Anbuselvan, leaving him for dead, and kidnapping Maya.
This brings the viewer back to the opening scene of the movie in which Anbuselvan is battling for life but thinking only about rescuing Maya.Shrikanth and Arul arrive at the cottage, discover Anbuselvan, and take him to the Pondicherry Government Hospital. Shrikanth reveals that Swathi was kidnapped earlier and confesses that it was he who gave away Anbuselvan's location to Pandiya, for Swathi's safe return. Shrikanth feels extreme remorse over what has happened. Whilst in the hospital, they receive a message from Pandiya to meet him at a particular location. When they go there, they find a package containing Swathi's head. Shrikanth is distraught at seeing his wife's head, and in an agony of grief and guilt at being responsible, he commits suicide by shooting himself.
Anbuselvan tracks down Pandiya before he can escape from and fights with the gang. Pandiya stabs Maya to distract Anbuselvan, and she dies.
An enraged Anbuselvan tracks down Pandiya and brutally finishes him off.An epilogue shows that Anbuselvan, after the death of Maya, continued his job as an IPS officer some weeks later. An alternative ending was shot and placed in the DVD version with a running commentary by Gautham Menon, in which Maya comes alive and he explains why this ending was not used in the version for cinema release.Cast. as ACP Anbuselvan IPS. as Maya.

Because I liked Kakka kakka a lot, and because I adore Surya in that movie, I have decided that there must be a Kakka kakka-part 2Without gooondu Jyothika, though, instead we will have Trisha.because she plays damsel in distress better than Jyothika. Goondu Jyothika aka GJ can act well, no doubt, but her eyes scare me.
I'm still reeling from the effect of her eyes in Mozhi. I mean, think about it, when she is given dialogues, in a normal movie, she uses her eyes to the fullest extent, staring and glaring left, right and centre.
And to think, that in Mozhi, the director did not give her any dialogues.because she plays a deaf and dumb woman.man, she glared the screen down!!!! So, maybe I should rename her as GGJ- glaring, goondu jyothika. But, I digress, so before I switch to the alluring topic of Jyothika's eyes, as exciting and entertaining as that will be, I will revert to Kakka kakka 2Disclaimer: This movie script is just like other tamil movies, there is only masala, no logic, facts will be misrepresented to the fullest extent. All resemblance to anybody is the creative genius of the writer - me. Like any self-respecting blockbuster, it is fully intended that this movie shall run for more than 3 hours.Song and dance sequences shall be inserted where ever the writer feels at a loss for words.Oh and all copyrights are the ownershipScene 1: Intro to Anbu post MayaAfter the death of Maya (GJ), two years ago, first wife of Officer Anbuchelvan (our erstwhile hero S), life continues normally, albeit a little monotonously. Anbuchelvan (AC) wakes up every morning alone, spends a brief moment dreaming about Maya, looks at her photo wistfully, and then showers and goes to work. Here, I will insert a scene of AC in the shower, and because this is a family entertainer, I will ensure that only images of torso are shown, all well-lathered and all.AC puts on his uniform, and leaves on his motor-bike, jeep, motor bike (Depending upon sponsors, I maybe willing to display particular brands of bikes). On his way to work, he dutifully stops at the grocery store, because it is a Tuesday, buys a bag of toffees, no, fivestars and goes to Maya's school to distribute sweets to children of Class 7th C, as he has been doing for the last 2 years, every week, without fail! (What dedication, no?)As he pulls into the parking lot of the school, he notices a red Matiz (brand open to change as per sponsorship) also getting into the parking lot.
He enters the school, and meets the Principal (Kannada geetha). KG says hi and inquires about well being et al, after a brief chat, he gives KG the sweets to distribute and then leaves. When he gets out into the parking lot, he finds that his motor-bike is blocked in because of (guesses!!!!) an awkwardly parked red Matiz.
How like a woman, no, to park badly?Anyway, AC is getting late for work, and losing patience, he goes to the guard at the school gate and asks about the owner of the red Matiz. Guard replies, ' Andha vandi a.andha vandi Latika madam odu.Romba nalla ponnu.Principal madath odu pethi, oru vaaram minadi daan Australia lendhu vandanga', thus giving necessary background about Trisha. Our hero, not knowing what to do, goes back to the Matiz and fiddles with the door, thus setting off the burglars' alarm. Out rushes Trisha. Now, people, this is an important juncture/. In any movie, the dress in which the actress makes her entry says a lot about her character. Is she the regular girl next door- Jeans and top, is she a 'girl who can be taken home to parents'- demure half saree or salwar kameez with opaque dupatta, or is she uptight and a downright snob- half naked westernized clothes or salwar kameez with deep neck, transperant material, and opulent- but- not- covering- much duppatta. Hence after much deliberation, I decided to give Trisha in her opening scene, a yellow kurta and blue jeans.
The kurta will have a smattering of sequins and self embroidery, thus effectively giving the impression of girl-next-door.Thus walks in Trisha, an indignant Trisha, that is. She glares angrily at AC and looks in surprise at the guard because the guard does nothing to restrain the 'burglar'. She reaches into a handbag and pulls out a gun.
AC looks in amazement at the gun, and lunges and grips Latika in a vice-like police officer grip. How romantic!! All this happens in a split second, during which while, KG comes out and asks AC to let go of her pethi.AC lets L go. KG says, 'Yenna AC, yenna aachu? Latika, on kayila gun eppidi?
Enna nadakarudu inga?' L says, 'Paatti, inda poli police officer, en vandiya thiruda paathan, na netthiki daan Sun Tv le paathen, chenna le pudusa ippidi ellam thiruttu nadakaradu'.
AC explains, 'Illai madam, en bike block aayidthu, ivanga vandi naala, Vandi kadavla chaavi irundhadhu, adu naala than, thoraka ponen, adu kulla ivanag gun eduthanga, oru velai, padakudadha edathale pattudum-nu, gun-a edduka paathen' L looks at him disbelievingly, but before she could say something scathing, KG explains who he is and all. She removes the car, after which AC tells her, not to carry guns around, like this.did she have a license etc.To this, L laughs and says,' Yennanga, ningalaam oru police officer a? Poli gunnukum, nejam gunnukum vidyasam teriyada?' T hus, she leaves him dumbstruck, et al and walks away, laughingly. After, AC leaves the campus, and reports to work, he is disturbed to realize that L keeps coming into his brain again and again, especially the way, she laughed at the end.
He alternatively feels disgusted and enchanted since he is still supposed to be devoted to Maya. But, what to do, he is only human, no?In the meantime, L learns his story from her granny, KG. KG in quintessential KG manner, remarks at his character and devotion and then sighs at the memory of Maya. L is now, obviously, more enamoured, sympathetic of AC. She remembers how his arms felt around her. Anyway, she now makes it a point to go to the school more regularly, especially on Tuesdays.
Once, AC asks her, why she keeps hanging around there. And because, I am a conscientious story-writer, I refuse to portray my lead heroine as having nothing better to do in life than ogle at the hero. She does ogle, but only in her spare time. In her non-spare time, she visits the law library next to the school (how conveniently situated). Why, you ask? Because she is a law graduate, silly. She studied law, same as her father, in Australia.
In fact she was interning with him only after her graduation, her father was in teh middle of a high profile case, during which he and his wife met with an accident and died. Sadly, they were en route to Latika's graduation ceremony, when they met with the fateful accident that robbed L of her parents, her happiness.etc. After tha incident, she wound up things in Australia, and came off to good ol' Chennai, to stay with her loving, but strict, grandmother, KG.
But, she had still not gotten over her parent's death, especially since there were many things suspicious about the circumstances of the accident. (Hint, hint, wink, wink!!!)After hearing this, AC feels like he has met with a kindred spirit since he has not been able to let go of Maya's death. This sets the stage for the first song, obviously its a dream sequence - the same dream being dreamt by both hero and heroine. I will slip in some good locales here, Ooty and Australia. It makes perfect sense since Trisha's character, Latika, has grown up in Australia.Scene 2: The plotAnyway, they meet, on school campus, then at his house, where she comes with pongal because it is Pongal, oooh, and here we have the Pongal song( I was aiming for a Pongal release, but what to do). So, pongal song happens and during this song, RMKV silks will release a new line of sarees called Trisha KK2 sarees for pongal, or any festival. This will later develop into an independent line of advertisements starring Trisha and Surya for their upcoming line of Diwali KK2 sarees.Anyway, love is blossoming, although reluctantly, the reluctance being on AC's part.
In the meantime, Latika, who is a conscientious worker, comes across a series of documents which leads her to believe that her parents' death was no accident. In fact, her father, even leaves her a video where he conveys that their lives are in danger, and in the event of his death, she should approach the Commissioner of Police of chennai.
Obviously, L does the next best thing, takes all the evidence to AC. AC is stunned to realize that the evidence ties in perfectly with the organized crime in Chennai that hes been trying to take apart for years. AC realizes that they are sitting on a ticking time bomb, because once news of this evidence gets out, L's life will be in danger, and although he had promised himself that he would not get attached, he still cannot deny the attraction between them. So, he tells Latika to leave all the evidence at his place and to pack up and leave the city. Latika refuses flatly. She says, 'Na onnum kozhai illai, Enna vittuthu pogha sollarthuku eppidi onnaku manasu vandhudu. Enga appa saavukku iva daan kaaranam.
Nee vena marandhurkallam, anna ennala marrakave mudiyaadhu. And Don't forget, Mr.
Anbuchelvan, neenga eppidi police officer o, naanum qualified criminal lawyer. Enga appa paadhila vittuthu ponna case-a, naan vaadhaduven. Appothaan ennaku nimmadhi kadaikum.' AC says, 'Puriyaama pesadhai, Lati (that's his pet name for her).
Iddhu onnum poli villayattu illai, on poli thupaaki maadri. Erkanume, naan Maya va yezhandhuten. Onna ennala yezhakka mudiyaadhu.
Nee poi thaan aaghanum.' L: Mudiyaadhu!!! Na oru lawyer odu ponnu.
Chinna vayasulendhu, thuppaki, adi-dhadi, sandai, threatening phone calls (i can't remember what that's called in tamil), ellam paathirruken. Danger is no stranger to me, Anbu.Enna varpuruthade.Na onnum Maya illai, modala adhu purunjuko!AC is stunned listening to this, he is enraged that Latika would mention Maya's name in this fashion.his beloved Maya. He raises his hand to strike her, in anger.but because, I don't like abusive protagonists, he doesn't complete his strike, instead he brings his hands down, and tells Latika to leave.Latika realizes, a split second later, what she just said. She is dismayed that she behaved so stupidly and stuck her foot in her mouth. She opens her mouth to explain, to apologize, But, Anbu tells her to leave.L leaves his house, in tears. In all the confusion, L leaves the evidence behind.( I know, kinda dumb, but my female protagonist is hugely overcome by emotion, and tends to be forgetful, too. That's why she goes to the library, daily, to revise her law theories!)Anbu spends sometime in Maya's memories, then looks around, finds the evidence. He is excited because now he can take this to the Commissioner of police and leave Latika and her parents' role in it apart and still nab the criminals.
This way Latika will not be harmed, he reasons. In his zeal, he overlooks, that Latika needs to avenge her parents murderers. (I know, forgetful, again.hey, they're made for each other.what can I say)Scene 3 (the plot heats up)Now, when Anbu goes to the Commissioner, he doesn't figure in that maybe. Just maybe, the Commissioner is also tied in. Because he is an honest-as-the-day police officer, he thinks everybody in the police force is too. SO, he takes all this evidence and goes to the Commissioner, tells him the story about how Pandiyan's henchman (from KK 1) fled to Australia two years back (Middle east is no longer favored, because of the climate and America's is too lame, everybody goes there. Australia on the other hand, harbored Pandiyan's brother-in-law from a step sister and kangaroos, too.
And, Vetri, the henchman, had always wanted to see Kangaroos, 'coz before he enrolled as Pandiyan's henchman, he was studying marsupials, and he missed that). Anyway, Vetri got in touch with the brother in law and opened up a branch there and smuggled weapons and drugs, jewelery from India and exported them to Japan and China.
Thus, Vetri established his own fencing corporation in Australia for everybody in India. Now all organized crime spoils were fenced into Australia. And Vetri made scores of profit in the venture because he was now remotely controlling the outflow of smuggled goods from Chennai. He was also crafty enough to cover the fact that the fencing operation was actually his, so that the organized crime operators in Chennai thought that he was still a middle man, small fry, and so gave him some commission for the fencing mediation. And to add icing to Vetri's cake, he had a front in one of Australia's leading zoos as the resident marsupial expert. So he could also find time to conduct his research which dealt with how temperature was regulated in the pouch.Anbu explained all this and left out Latika's involvement.
The Commissioner, craftily, tried to ask him how he got his hands on the evidence. Anbu refused to divulge the details of teh contact and said he had a mole. The commissioner was confused, after all, what does having a mole have to do with getting the evidence. Besides, where was the mole, since there wasn't one on his face, wasn't he being unecessarily concerned about it.
Anbu explained in exasperation, that mole meant informant. The commissioner nodded knowingly and said that in his days they were referred to as something else.
Anyway, the commissioner said that he would ponder about the evidence and set the ball rolling. The next day, when AC goes to the commissioner and asks him to sign the warrants for Vetri and other players of the crime team, the commissioner feigns surprise. Basically, he denies having ever received any evidence from AC, and tells AC that he should take a vacation. Especially, since, from the time Maya died, AC has refused to let go of Pandiyan's gang members and was generally not focussing on anything else.
So, Commissioner says that unless he drops the issue once and for all, he will have to suspend Anbu. A dejected and disillusioned Anbu coms home.Latika is waiting for him at his doorstep, she asks to have all the evidence back. Anbu looks sheepish and tells Latka what had transpired.
Latika chastized him but in the end told him to cheer up. Anbu wonders if Latika has taken his advice after all. Latika grins and says, 'Anbu, naa law school vera enna kathindeno illayo, ella documents odu multiple copies panniku kathinden. Plus, law school le always solluvanga, oru nalla lawyer thannodu trump card always secret- a vecchukannum. Adu nalla, anniki na onnaku verum partial evidence daan kaatinen. Most important evidence, enga appa odu tape innum engitta irruku, badrama locker le vechirruken'Scene 4: The ClimaxHearing Latika's words, Anbu is over joyed!!! Since he has been suspended from work, he cannot use normal police course of action.
Instead, he has to now act and think as a civilian. Together they decide that Latika will file the case on behalf of Anbu and be the prinicipal litigator, but they will do so under the guidance of the best criminal lawyer in town - Mr.Bhairavan. Since Bhairavan has been in the game long enough, he knows the ropes, so he keeps Latika's identity a secret till the final day.The night before the case, Latika spends a nerve -wracking night since she is worried that if she screws up her debut case, not only will lives be in danger, but she would have not avenged her parent's death, and she would lose her chance at a fab love-life with Anbu. Anbu comes to meet her before she goes to bed and says, 'Lati, nervous a irrukaya? Kavalai padade, naaliki nee daan case jaypai, Onnakaha, na maya kitta vendindirruken.
Ellam nallabadiya poghum. Nee worry pannama thungu.' Lati is touched, she tells Anbu, ' Anbu, ini ennaku kavalia illai. Naa indha sandaila thaniya ninnidu irrukennu nanachen. Ana, enndou neeyum, mayavum irrukel. Naalikki 'Vetri enoddu'.
(pun!!!:))))Anbu places a peck on her forehead and goes to his room. The next day, Anbu has to transport Lati in a secret vehicle to the court room for fear of attempts on their life.En route to the courthouse, the organized crime dudes try to attack the vehicle and kill both of them. Here, we will have a valiant fight scene, where in Latika is captured by the goons, struggles desperately, Anbu is beaten black and blue and almost loses consciusness, but not quite. We will insert a scene of Anbu in his subconscious state, and have a guest appearnace by Maya in his subconscious, where she beckons to him and tells him to wake up and fight. To avenge her death, to hang on for the promise of a better life with Lati. Anbu then wakes up with twice the strength he had before and bashes up some 30 odd goons.
Then, he hijacks a bike from an innocent bystander and conveys Latika to teh courtroom just as teh judge is beginning to lose patience over the absence of a lawyer.A bruised but alert latika defends the case, amazingly, for a debutante lawyer. She establishes the guilt of the involved parties.
The judge rules in Anbu and Lati's favor. The guilty wrong doers including the Commissioner are thrown in jail. A whole lot of organized crime dudes wave their fists in Anbu's face only to be hauled away by the police. Vetri is hauled back to Chennai where he faces the death penalty for the murder of Latika's parents.
Ironically, he is lauded at the same time for his work - 'Thermoregulation in marsupials: The hows and whys of an external womb' for which he receives the 'Upcoming Researcher'award from AAAS.AnbuChelvan receives an award from the Government for his valiance and while on the podium, he dedicates the award to his late wife Maya, and says: ' Maya ponnakapram, en valkai oru thaniya nikarra thenamaram madri irrundhadu. Anna indha thennamaratha aatarthuku oru poongatru lesa vandhudu. Indha inba poongatru per Latika. Lati, nee illmama naan vazha virumbalai. I love you, Lati. Yenna kalyanam pannikaraya? 'Hearing this, Lati, who is in the audience, jumps up with tears in her eyes, runs to the podium and engulfs Anbu in a bearhug. How cloyingly sweet, aackk!!!!Scene 5: Happy endingsAnbu decides that he is sufficiently in love with Latika to warrant marrying her after a two year hiatus since Maya's death.
Plus he already proposed to her, in front of an audience no less. Not to mention, he hates his own cooking and desperately needs somebody to lather his back. But, he does not know if he will be ableto overcome Maya's memories. And he still needs Maya's approval. So, he takes Latika to the one place that he and Maya had their special moment at - the cottage by the lake. Maya and Anbu's wedding photo hangs on the wall, with one dried up garland hanging from it.Anbu goes there and starts humming, 'ondra-renda aasaigal.ellam sollave.'
He walks towards the photo and beckons Latika.they both bow at Maya's picture. As if an omen, the garland falls from the picture onto Latika's feet. Anbu looks up, awestruck!!!
This was it, (in south indian movies, flowers falling from the picture, or vibudhi falling,or lamp magically lighting itslef, not to mention, halos and other odd light effects are all considered as good omens). So, Anbu was convinced that Maya had given them her blessing.Anbu and Latika got married the next day at the temple, a simple ceremony, and went back to the cottage for yet another 'first night'.Now for the concluding scene, the next day, Anbu enters the bathroom for a shower and has his personal latherer ready,A duet is then sung under the shower with both parties suitably lathered. The whole point of this story started out from wanting a happy ending.then somewhere down the middle, because I was having so much fun.the point became to make it as run-of-the-mill and as corny as possible.See, i did not have fight scenes or proposals in my first version, then somebody said that it was abrupt.so I added some good ol' masala.:)Thanks for reading it though.and yes, maybe I will be duly motivated (or bored?) to come up with a new story line sometime:)Oh and please leave a name after the comment.would love to know identity of ppl stoppin.
